This property was the site of the hospital from 1867 until the 1950s, having been re-built in its present form in 1905, with many additions made since.

John Hay lived on this site in 1844. Later, it was the home of Dr Edward Crossman and then his son Dr Frank W Crossman.

These two doctors ran the Village Hospital for almost all of its existence, in the capacity of Medical Director.

378 - Built as a Congregational Chapel in 1816. A school was added at the rear in the 1870s until it transferred to the other side of the Common in 1910.

It is now known as the Evangelical Chapel
