The Americans at Frenchay Hospital...

Sgt Richard Trevor

Sgt Richard Trevor worked in Physical Therapy in the Frenchay Hospital, under Harriet Meyer.

He recalls the supportive kindness of the British in Fishponds and his friendships with some of the families there.

Upon his return to the States in 1945, he married Virginia Frietchie of Little Rock, Ar, whom he had met while stationed there. They went to Richard's home area of Ventura, Ca, where they lived for 45 years, and Richard was employed by Southern, Ca Edison. He retired in 1980.

The Trevors have a son, Mitchell, and a daughter, Melissa, both of whom live nearby.

Richard & Virginia have recently moved to a retirement community in Menifee, Ca, 70 miles north-east of San Diego, where they enjoy reading, cards and woodworking.
