20 Years On!
A look back to our first exhibition held in Frenchay Church in June 1989, and how the Society came into being and has developed since. There will be a screening of the HTV news item about our exhibition from 1989, where a very young Pauline Palmer is seen together with a youthful Alan Freke - not to be missed!

Text Box: Other News
The hospital has commissioned an artist to produce a "Heritage Corridor" in the hospital.  We are assisting her to produce this very long artwork that will celebrate the history of the hospital.  When the hospital closes it is planned to move it to the new one at Southmead.
Coincidentally, Professor Brian Edwards has been commissioned by the South West Strategic Health Authority to write a book on the history of the NHS in the South West. Again, he has requested our help, and we will be co-operating with him on this task.
In a few years we may not have a hospital here, but we'll have plenty of ways of remembering the old hospital!

It has an added section taken from the newly discovered minute book of the Building Committee. Did you know that the man who designed the Village Hall also built Stapleton Road Station? Copies are available in the museum.

The current visiting exhibition is Cameras - a fantastic display of cameras old and new put on by a collector from Winterbourne.
This will be followed in mid-May by a display about Archery.  The enthusiasts who are putting on this display have also published a booklet about the history of archery in Frenchay, and copies will be on sale in the museum.
In July the Village Hall plan to mount a display to mark the Hall's Centenary.
